So, I made it throught the rough white water rapids of the Balsa River without injury.
Zip lined through the rain forests without injury.
Hiked the uneven hills of Costa Rica and walked across swinging suspension bridges without injury.
Climbed the 10,000 steps (or so it seemed) in the rain to our mountain villa without injury.
On my way to a birthday party on my first day back in NYC on FLAT DRY PAVEMENT, I do this to myself.
Anyone surprised?
(The light fails to capture just how bruised and swollen my ankle is). Just ugly.

Three words: Ice, Elevate, and Rest. Yikes. That looks painful. Oh, let me add "Motrin" to the little mix up there. And BTW, you look FABULOUS in those wedding pics!!
OUCH! That looks really painful.
This is Emilee Homer from forever ago.
My mom and dad (Don and Janie)were in Rexburg this weekend and saw your parents. Your mom said you had a blog and I decided to search it out.
Your trip to Costa Rica looks extremely fun. What a beautiful country. You really know how to vacation.
I am hoping you can share some of your NYC expertise with me. I have been in Ithaca all summer. I am planning to go to NYC one weekend. Could you share some information with me. I was curious about good places to eat, things to see, and the best way to get around etc. Any information you can share would be great.
I have a tendency to turn my comments into prolific ramblings, so I will end it now. However, if you want to contact me my email is
okemmagrl@yahoo.com
or I have a blog

i miss my KARYN mann
Talked to Tracey briefly about Costa Rica yesterday...jealous! We actually might be heading there soon ourselves, but still...jealous. Sorry about the ankle. Looks like a doozie. And I can't believe Grandpa Bill is gone. And I can't believe how big Kym's kids are.
Memories, memories.
This past week has been extremely hard. But as you always say, friends are family and my family is helping me through this one day at a time. Love you.
Hi Karyn, as Emilee said we discovered your blog. It is such a neat way to stay in touch and learn about you. I always hear about you ( although not often enough from your parents!) and what fantastic things you are doing. Hope that your ankle gets better soon. Janie Homer
